The Manchester City Football Club is an English football club based in Manchester and founded in 1880 under the name of St. Mark s (West Gorton). The club became the Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 before taking its current name in 1894. Nicknamed City, The Citizens, or the Sky Blues (the sky blue), the professional team has been evolving since 2003 at Etihad Stadium. The Mancunian Derby opposes it to the other Grand Club de la Ville, Manchester United. Since July 1, 2016, the club is driven by Pep Guardiola.
