The new training center of VfL Osnabrück is to be built on the existing urban sports length on Schinkelberg. The ash area there is replaced by a heated lawn. The current floodlight length is also to be improved.
For VfL over the next 30 years, costs of 120,000 euros per season are incurred for the use of the occasion, and the amount would increase if the climb. In addition, the association should still participate in the costs with 2.1 million euros.
VfL President Holger Elixmann and Managing Director Michael Welling are happy about the decision of the city and the soon to start construction after a long preparatory work and several setbacks: "Now we are starting work to be able to use improved training conditions in the coming winter period."
In addition to the construction of the training center, the facility on the Illoshöhe, which was previously used by the professionals, is also to be renovated and the main square is to be provided with a floodlight system. In the future, the third division club's youth performance center should get more space.
